JOEGREEN to the Rescue! And to the streets of Marblehead
August 7th 2010
JOEGREEN to the rescue! Well, we started out our canvassing day with a bit of excitement. JOE team members Tom and Peter, who are apparently also honorary neighborhood watch heroes, saved a few effervescent children from running into the streets after a ball Saturday, while busy traffic lined the road. Does JOEGREEN have the Batman and Robin of Salem right here in our offices?! I guess now we could have a new motto - Saving children AND energy! But, I think we’ll just stick to energy and only make super-hero appearances when absolutely necessary.

In any event, it was quite possibly the perfect day for canvassing in Marblehead on Saturday – sunshine, seventies, not a drop of rain, not a hint of humidity (a huge difference from canvassing in Salem a few weeks ago!). Maybe it’s the bills, maybe it’s the spill, but we are meeting more and more people who are passionate about doing their part to help the environment and living a new, more sustainable life. Oh! And I can’t continue without mentioning how exquisite some of the homes were that we visited - really, architectural works of art. Even though sometimes we instinctually see an issue with a home, diagnose, and talk about solutions, we still very much appreciate the craftsmanship of some of those old homes. But! We wouldn’t be good at what we do if we didn’t think that way!
As always, we’re excited for the next canvassing route. Look out for us!
